CFS' Green Story

CFS has been in business for 30 years and knows the importance of sustainable products and services. CFS has a great "green" story to tell. In 2006, we were named one of St Louis Park’s first "Green Business". This was a result of our efforts in recycling and re-using office furniture, cardboard and other packing material, paper, plastic, metal, pallets, foam and other solid waste. We have installed energy efficient lights in our warehouse. A good percent of the products we sell, especially Herman Miller, are made from recyclable material and can be recycled at the end of their lifecycle.

CFS has been involved around town with other companies working towards achieving LEED points and certification. We sold and installed the majority of Great River Energy's furniture for their new headquarters. This project was the first Platinum LEED project in Minnesota. CFS provided a significant amount of furniture for Welsh Companies’ new headquarters which earned Gold LEED certification.
